Renfe Children Fare

These children can select seats on AVE, AVE International, and Avant trains, and they can make changes or get refunds according to the ticket type, potentially incurring a fee. Children under four travel for free but do not receive a reserved seat. Please note that, on Cercanías trains, children under six can travel for free without a reserved seat.

Renfe supports large families in Spain with discounted fares, offering 20% for general and 50% for special category families on AVE and Larga Distancia trains. Additionally, single-parent families can enjoy discounts on Rodalies services in Catalonia by presenting a certificate issued by the Generalitat de Catalunya.
